Orica requested the creation of two pilot HR courses around performance management and safety. The programs were to be delivered for deployment on Orica’s internal LMS.
Brief
The Performance management program should provide Orica employees with an understanding of Orica’s performance management cycle and how to participate in the cycle. The SH&E program should provide Orica employees with a better understanding of their responsibilities in relation to incident reporting, management and investigation.
Solution
A branding approach was developed along with an eLearning template. This was built to be easily utilised for all of Orica’s internal eLearning training by internal developers.
Both courses followed a similar instructional approach of multiple sections including; course outline, processes and definitions, responsibilities and a summary. Separate assessment modules were created as end of program assessments to test the users’ knowledge.
The graphical approach for the SH&E program was to use scenario-based photographic images to create iconic information graphics. The performance program used images sourced from Orica’s existing image libraries and supported by some images from an on-site photo shoot undertaken by Cubic.

Results
