The Parenting Research Centre (PRC) aims to generate knowledge of parental practices and activities that help parents of children with learning disabilities raise their children and also to provide support for parents and carers.
Cubic Consulting was engaged by PRC to create a model site to host a number of their workshop programs for parents. One of these programs consisted of a number of PDF based workshops which provided information to parents of children with autism on how to manage difficult behaviour in their children. PRC asked Cubic to develop a site which was both user friendly and would allow PRC to generate detailed reports outlining the effectiveness of the program.
As the reports generated by Lectora were not sufficient for their client's requirements, the Cubic team demonstrated their creativity and flexibility by building the exisiting program modules in Lectora and creating a customised Moodle site which integrated the useability of a Lectora based eLearning solution with the enhanced reporting functionality of Moodle.
This was the first time Cubic had used Moodle as the main reporting tool, rather than simply a program launch platform.
For more information on the workshops visit the PRC's Early Days website or see our Moodle solution. |
