Capturing the Knowledge

Cubic continues to grow its working relationship with a leading NSW Utilities provider by commencing another long term project engagement.

Following their SAP implementation in 2009, our client started a Business Process improvement program to standardise and document the way the different sections of the business interact with SAP. The client also took this opportunity to review and document their core business processes as a whole i.e., from start to finish, including activities that are off-system.

Cubic was initially engaged to develop a set of agreed templates that could be used to capture the different information types, including Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions, and Standards. Once the templates had been agreed and signed off, the six core process areas (Investment Management, Asset Management, Project Management, Procurement and Logistics Management, Finance and HR) were nominated for documentation development. In March 2010, Cubic provided a team of 5 Technical Writers who, by working with the Subject Matter Experts, are in the process of producing a full suite of supporting business documentation.
